AI INTERACTION DESIGN

Transforming a neglected AI SKD web demo into a vital sales tool for a Computer Vision startup (acquired by Dropbox)

Increased demo usage in sales by 95%
Mobius Labs SDK Web Demo Interface
Despite having powerful computer vision technology, the company’s public web demo was feature-heavy rather than industry-oriented & benefit-driven, leading the sales team to avoid using it in live customer meetings.

Led the end-to-end redesign of the Mobius Labs SDK web demo to align with industry-specific needs. Bridged Product and Sales by defining industry personas, creating a scalable design system, and delivering an interactive demo product that enabled the sales team to showcase the real-time capabilities of Mobius AI during client pitches.

OVERVIEW OF MY DESIGN PROCESS

Step 1 - Internal UX review workshop:

Conducted "labor illusion" experiments and usability tests with new employees during my first two weeks, identifying that users were overwhelmed by technical jargon and confusing onboarding.

UX Workshop and Analysis

Step 2 - Sales team interviews & deal analysis:

Interviewed 4 experts most involved in sales process (sales specialists, CEO and tech lead) and analyzed 30+ HubSpot deals to understand the disconnect. Discovered that while the product demo sold "features," clients were buying "solutions" specific to their industry.

Step 3 - Defining industry personas:

Synthesized research into 4 key industry personas (Content Licensing, Internet-to-Print, Broadcasting, Marketing) to ensure the new design spoke the language of the decision-makers, not just developers.

Industry Personas

Step 4 - Building the infrastructure:

Created a comprehensive Design System (Figma library with MUI-based components linked to Storybook) to eliminate messy custom add-ons and inconsistent fonts, streamlining the implementation process.

Step 5 - Strategic redesign & vertical prototyping:

Executed the “industry-oriented” redesign with improved contrast and clear, step-by-step processes.
